Academic Qualifications

  • Ph.D., Acoustical Physics, Paris VI: Université de Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France), 2010
  • M.S., Acoustical Physics, Paris VII: Université Paris Diderot (Paris, France), 2007
  • B.S., Fundamental Physics, Paris VII: Université Paris Diderot (Paris, France), 2004

Biography

Julien was born in Saint-Denis, Réunion Island, France. He graduated from the Paris VII University (Université Paris Diderot) in 2007. He received his Ph.D. at the Paris VI University (Université de Pierre et Marie Curie Pierre) in 2010 in acoustical physics. His research focused on femoral neck cortical bone mechanical strength characterization with quantitative ultrasound both in simulation and experiment.

In late 2011, Julien joined the UEIL as a postdoctoral research scientist working on the ultrasound imaging of cardiac electromechanical activity.
