Yang received her B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Capital Medical University (Beijing, China) in June 2010. She continued her education in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD, USA). She then joined Dr. Galit Pelled's lab in January 2011 to study cortical somatosensory plasticity after peripheral nerve injury using fMRI and electrophysiology methods.
In September 2012, she enrolled in the Ph.D. program in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University and joined the UEIL. She now works on the harmonic motion imaging project.
